Lung Cancer Screening
Begins March 1, 2013. Appointments available the first and third Friday of every month.
Orange Regional Medical Center offers a lung screening program to evaluate for early signs of lung cancer. The screening is done with a low-dose CT scan, a non-invasive procedure that is effective in detecting the earliest stages of lung cancer. To be eligible for the screening, participants must be between the ages of 55 to 74, have had a minimum of 30 pack-years of smoking or have quit within the past 15 years.The cost of the screening is $300 and is not covered by insurance, Medicare and/or Medicaid.
Oral, Head & Neck Cancer Screening
Appointments available week of April 15
This screening helps detect and prevent cancer that arises in the head and neck regions, including the nasal cavity, sinuses, lips, mouth, thyroid glands, salivary glands, throat, or larynx (voice box).

Breast Cancer Screening
March 9, 2013
This screening helps detect and prevent cancer in a woman's breasts before there are signs or symptoms of the disease. The screening includes a mammogram, clinical breast exam, breast screening and breast health education.
